Story

This is not a denim jacket. This is everything we think a denim jacket should be. Using the same principle we applied to our Slim Dungarees, we’ve reengineered the classic jean jacket for the 21st century. A jacket that's tougher, more durable and more comfortable while still looking classic. A jacket that does more and weighs less, stays cleaner and dries quickly. A jacket that moves freely without compromising style or function. The Shank Jacket.

We’ve united the durability and dependability of our Workcloth with the liberating four-way stretch of our OG Cloth to deliver a rugged strength without compromising the freedom to move. The Shank Jacket has a slim fit with no bulk or boxiness. The zoned application of OG Cloth to the backsides of the sleeves and the side panels grants the freedom of four-way stretch where it counts. It won’t bind you up or hold you back. Beautiful flat black stainless steel shanks, three interior pockets and classic styling round it all out.

Fabric

Tough and beautiful, there are quite literally two sides to our Workcloth Doubleweave Canvas. The outer face is a canvas weave comprised of a healthy percentage of Cordura grade nylon, making it our strongest and most durable fabric. The inner face is completely different, a loosely woven nylon-poly blend that has been made to a subtle softness. The result is incredible: a rugged, ready-for-anything fabric that stays both comfortable and breathable.

The Workcloth Doubleweave Canvas weighs in at 275 gsm (10 oz), slightly more than our OG Cloth. It has a slight two-way stretch and great drape.


Our core OG/4Season cloth: breathable, comfortable and durable, the most versatile fabric around. The Schoeller Dryskin Extreme fabric looks elegant, yet repels water. The doubleweave structure means it's tough and durable on the exterior, yet soft and comfortable inside. The four-way stretch doubles-down on that comfort and means this jacket moves freely through any situation.

Both fabrics are NanoSphere® treated, giving them nice resistance to water, coffee, wine and dirt. When they do saturate, they’ll dry much faster than conventional fabrics, keeping you in comfort no matter the weather.

Both fabrics are bluesign® certified for a cleaner planet.
