Cotton and merino combined in the pursuit of a perfect white heavyweight t-shirt.

It’s no secret that we love merino, but we also love crisp, white cotton t-shirts. Since merino is naturally a cream color and no one has perfected the whitening process, a true optical white 100% merino fabric just isn’t possible yet. We’re still hunting of course, but in the mean time we may have found something even better, a double jersey fabric that has a merino inner face and a cotton outer face. The soft, dry performance of merino against the skin, the opaque whiteness of a heavyweight cotton jersey on the outside.

Fabric

Soft on the skin and opaque to the eye, Cottonweight Merino is a double knit jersey with an 18.5 micron merino inner face and a cotton outer face. The merino inner face is beautifully soft with a cool, dry body climate while the crisp cotton outer face brings the structure, heft and opacity we expect from a heavyweight white T-shirt. Weighing in at 220gsm, it makes for a proper heavyweight t-shirt fabric.
