A four-piece system including one Ultrahigh Rolltop Duffle, one Modular Super-Tramp Suspension backpanel, one Hopper daypack and one Double Action Strap.

This is a bag system that rewards you for packing light. The Ultrahigh Rolltop Duffle is a highly versatile rolltop bag made from Ultrahigh Dyneema NWC. Designed to function well when you are carrying almost nothing, but capable of expanding when the needs arise. For this version, we teamed up with Boreas to produce a Duffle compatible with their Modular Super-Tramp Suspension powered Bootlegger system.

The Boreas Modular Super-Tramp Suspension is an amazing patented backpanel designed to be easily swapped between compatible packs depending on the need and occasion. With a quick tug, you can activate the trampoline suspension system and tension the frame. This pulls the main surface area of the pack away from your back, allowing air to flow freely for a drastically more comfortable carry.

This Super-Tramp compatible version of the Ultrahigh Rolltop Duffle can quickly and easily transform from a shoulder bag into a backpack. Just pop in the modular backpanel, snap two buckles together, and quickly tension up the suspension. Voila, a beautiful backpack to get you through the airport easily. When it’s time to class up, it converts back to a shoulder bag just as easily. Pop off the backpanel, clip in the Double Action Strap and you’re good to go.

The Ultrahigh Travel System comes complete with both an Ultrahigh Rolltop Duffle and a murdered out all black version of the Modular Super-Tramp Suspension. Better yet, we also teamed up with Boreas to include a blacked-out version of their compatible Hopper pack. Without the suspension frame, the Hopper easily rolls up and fits inside the Duffle’s large side pocket. When you reach your destination you can then swap the backpanel in and use the Hopper as a killer day pack.

Ultrahigh Rolltop Duffle built using Outlier specified Ultrahigh Dyneema NWC.

Ultrahigh Dyneema NWC is a nonwoven composite of Dyneema brand ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), the world’s strongest fiber. The Dyneema fiber is bonded and encased in BoPET by Cubic Tech in Mesa Arizona, using their proprietary nonwoven process. The resulting material is sometimes called “Cuben” or CTF3, which we then have laminated to a light polyester outer face for additional abrasion resistance to produce Ultrahigh Dyneema NWC. The result is a composite fabric that is waterproof, super light and relatively strong, with a remarkable structure and dark angular texture that deepens as it ages.

It is important to note that while Dyneema may be the world’s strongest fiber, this process is NOT about making the world’s strongest fabric. Instead it is about making a lighter and more dimensionally stable fabric to create bags that are easier to carry. While the bags will hold up to wear and are more durable than most other bags in their weight class, they are not particularly more durable than your average heavy nylon bag.
