- Classic looks meet technical movement in a lightweight yet durable pant.
They breathe great, making them one of our best pants for hot and humid
climates, yet they’re also substantive enough to wear year round (although
in deep winter a base layer underneath is recommended). A durable water
resistant treatment helps keep them clean and dry, allowing you to travel
further and lighter.
Our F. Cloth fabric is strong, durable and lightweight with a two-way stretch for freedom of movement. With 35% stretch in the weft, the F. Cloth is significantly freer than many stretch fabrics used in pants. Combined with a knee-length gusset, the stress points that limit mobility disappear. At 200gsm, the F. Cloth sews up into one of our lighter pants, but the air texturized Cordura grade nylon yarns are both strong and soft enough to be a joy to wear every day. - Fabric

↗ Lightweight Strength
The core of these pants is a very specific type of nylon, a high tenacity, air texturized nylon 6,6. By using two different 6 carbon monomers (as opposed to the single one used to make regular nylon 6) then subjecting it to an air jet texturizing process during it's extrusion we are able to obtain a nylon that is significantly softer, stronger and more matte in appearance then your average polyamide. In other words a stronger and better looking material that we can use to create lighter and more comfortable garments.
↗ Breathable Movement
Traveling freely means moving freely so, like most all Outlier garments, these pants are engineered for maximum freedom of movement and comfort. The F.Cloth fabric has a substantive 35% two-way stretch that helps, but the real secret is in how that stretch combines with a knee length gusseted construction to open up the range of motion.
↗ Perfect for the Hot and Humid
The Futureworks are one of our favorite pants to wear when the humidity rises. At 200gsm (5.9oz) the F.Cloth fabric clocks quite light for a pant fabric, but its the relatively open and slightly three dimensional weave structure, balanced moisture absorbency and quick drying eco-calibrated C0+C6 DWR that all combine to make these our best pant for travel in hot places.
↗ Substantive enough to wear year round
The fabric may be relatively light but this is a substantive pant, made from the best materials for the job. The F.Cloth fabric is woven in Sweden. The stainless steel shank is formed in Italy. The zipper is sourced from Portugal and the air texturized nylon pocketing is from Sweden.

In the end these are pants made for working. Tough enough for 20th century industry, clean and sharp enough for the office, comfortable and travel-ready for 21st century digital nomadism.
