Additional Information
- Story
- Sport coats were once highly functional garments, a man would own two, one for use six days a
week and one for Sunday use only. This ain't no Sunday suit, with the 60/30 FSC Blazer we're
bringing those every day roots back into the 21st Century.
Handmade in Freemans Sporting Club Bespoke Studio and sewn up with our 60/30 Cotton/Micro-nylon twill for an unstructured blazer with sharp looks, durability and true freedom of movement. Dress up and still play rough, 60/30 Cloth gives you the comfort and good looks of a cotton twill yet shrugs off light rain and dirt with a "self-cleaning" NanoSphere® treatment. Four way stretch means you get a tailored fit without restriction so you'll want to wear it every day.
Our friends at Freemans Sporting Club Bespoke Studio sewed it up with three front buttons, a notch collar lapel, front patch pockets, custom buttons and Freemans signature slim fit.
We chose our classic Midnight Gray and our not-so-classic experimental Metakhaki colors for this blazer. Midnight Gray pretty much explains itself, but a word on our Metakhaki:
We used the state-of-the-art jet dying machines to create what we call a Jet Dyed Ombre. These machines can be loaded up with up to four different dye lots which then are applied in a machine random process that creates one-of-a-kind textures. We picked a Flat Tan and an Olive Drab that when combined into a Jet Dyed Ombre create swirls of color and texture we find to be quite beautiful and vary by garment.
Please note that this fabric is 64% cotton and jet dyed. This means that it will evolve and fade with incredible beauty but be aware that those effects are not for everybody. If you are looking for something that looks new for a long time you are better off with a conventional wool sport coat.
Limited release of 25 - Fabric
- We called our fabric "60/30 Cloth" in homage to the fabric that Sierra Design named their killer
60/40 Parka's after. Back in 1968 George Marks and Bob Swanson honed in on a 58% cotton, 42% nylon
blend fabric as the ideal balance of handfeel, durability, water resistance and breathability.
They rounded the numbers to 60/40 for marketing purposes and went on to make the iconic jacket of
1970's era hiking and camping. For our 60/30 Cloth we wanted a fabric with a classic cotton twill
handfeel, but with the durability of a hiking parka and a four way stretch for the ultimate
freedom of movement. We settled on a combination of 64% cotton, 29% nylon and 7% elastane. We
added a "self-cleaning" NanoSphere® treatment for extra water and dirt resistance as well as quick
drying properties. Then we rounded the numbers off to 60/30 for marketing purposes and the Outlier
60/30 Cloth was born.
The 60/30 Cloth is simple and suited for the grit and repetitive motion of real life. A fabric you’ll want to wear everyday all the while staying durable and breathable. - Details
