Cloud soft single origin merino meets softcore Alpha warmth in a zip front longsleeve experiment with double action side vents. Two layers of Gostwyck 15.5 micron merino with 120gsm of superbreathable Alpha insulation in-between.

Fabric

Alphacore sandwiches Polartec’s highly breathable 120gsm Alpha insulation between two layers of lush Gostwyck Single Origin Merino. The result is a seriously soft insulation with a warmth that glows like summer all winter long.

The radical difference is really in how breathable this stuff is. Gostwyck Single Origin Merino is both super soft and highly breathable; it’s a hygroscopic fiber that actively absorbs water vapor to create a superior body climate as you move. Polartec Alpha is an insulation specifically developed for the US military’s special forces to breathe freely, dry quickly and keep working, even in wet conditions. Combine the two and you get a super comfortable and dry warmth that feels a bit like you stayed under the covers yet somehow made it outside.
