Story

An infamous insulated shank jacket mutation with a removable Purling Fleece hood and slash front pockets. Supima Duckcloth and six front pockets on the outside, F.Cloth on the inside, with a breathable Alpha 120 insulation between.

Fabric

A superior cotton duck woven in Switzerland with American grown extra long staple Supima cotton. At 460gsm it is woven thick and dense enough to be water resistant (but not water proof) and a C6 DWR helps as well. The best part of the fabric though is how it captures both sides of cottons' dual nature at once. The dense and thick canvas weave gives it a rugged hardness but the beautiful Supima yarns give it a gentle suppleness at the same time. And that’s just when it’s new, this fabric should break in beautifully, develop tons of character and wear for a very long time.


The most intriguing materials are sometimes the ones we understand the least. This wool-cotton-polyurethane fleece from the Italian/German luxury faux fur specialists, Girmes, is almost mystical yet decidedly technical in its feel. The cotton wool fleece interior is deliriously soft and warm, while the thick coating of dark olive polyurethane on the exterior gives it a slick yet supple weather resistance.


A tough and super breathable insulation system. Ruggedly breathable F.Cloth as the inside lining, milspec Alpha 120 as an insulation. Polartec’s Alpha insulation is specifically developed for the US military’s special forces to breathe freely, dry quickly and keep working, even in wet conditions. At 120 gsm this results in lean, high performance insulation optimized for cool weather activity.
