Story

We've always steered hard away from denim here at Outlier, there are loads of brands doing it right so no real need for us to get involved. But when we found a company making denim that combined large amounts of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), proper weight (14oz of course), good looks and a bit of stretch we knew we had to play around.

This isn't true denimhead fetish shit, we can't claim to be experts in this zone. What it is, is a slightly scaled up version of our Slim Dungarees sewn up in 14oz stretch denim designed by Armalith in France and woven in Spain with 33% UHMWPE content. The weft is white stretch cotton, the warp is black cotton wrapped around a UHMWPE core. Originally designed for motorcycles it's rated as being able to skid on asphalt for 2.5 seconds at 100 kph. We can’t say we've tested that spec though, and we recommend you avoid doing so as well. We just made them as tough ass jeans that we want to experiment with a bit to see how well they really perform.
