Story

Two strong fabrics paired to make an updated Deck Jacket. Strongtwill on the outside, Strongwool fleece lining on the inside. A Biothane closure system at the collar lined with Strongwool for added warmth. We used a Japanese made Excella zipper and flat black stainless steel shanks on the front of the jacket. A single zero snap chest pocket with thumb garage for quick access. Supplex knit inner sleeve cuffs close the wrist for warmth and finally, two biothane side adjustments allow the waist to be cinched.

Fabric

Strongtwill is a reinvention of the Strongcloth fabric. Strongtwill still takes dozens of fine air forged Supplex fibers and twists them into thick, chunky yarns, but adds elastane into the mix for a subtle two-way stretch. It’s all woven together into a luxuriously strong twill that has softness of fine fiber, the relaxed breathability associated with cotton and the toughness of high grade nylon.


Our love of wool is no secret, but we often focus on the extremely fine merino side of things, with the Strongwool Fleece we go the other way. Knit in Italy this fleece combines a healthy 63% wool with 24% nylon and 13% polyester. Nature and technology twisted together to create a doublefaced fleece with a chunky strong outer and an inner face brushed to a gentle fluff.
