Story

The Blazed Dress Pivot is the latest iteration of our Blazed Cotton Pivot Sleeve Shirts. This time we focused on the collar and made a proper dress shirt, sized to wear with a tie. We used a floating interlining instead of fusing, giving the collar a strong yet comfortable structure. We then got a bit obsessive on the shape and roll, iterating like hell until we got a 2.25" half-point collar that stands, wraps and sits perfectly.

Built off our core patent-pending Pivot Sleeve shirt design to maximize freedom of movement. This construction eliminates the key tension points in shirts caused by leaning and reaching forward. The result is a shirt where your cuffs stay in place, the shoulders don't pull tight across the back and the shirt doesn't blouse up by pulling out of your pants when tucked in.

Our Blazed Cotton shirting is a finely tuned formulation that balances sweat resistance, breathability and good looks. Woven in what we call an openpoint oxford, a low twist variation on traditional oxford cloth. These low twist yarns create an open structure that counterbalances the hydrophobic blazing process. The result is a cloth that breathes and absorbs well enough to be extremely comfortable yet is water resistant and quick drying so that sweat almost never shows through the fabric.

Fabric

A cleaner take on traditional cotton shirting. An openpoint oxford cotton fabric that has been blazed with a high tech treatment that emulates the self-cleaning properties of a lotus leaf. The result is a soft, clean shirting that repels dirt and sweat, leaving you looking sharp and professional no matter how hard you push yourself.

We call the fabric an openpoint oxford cloth because it utilizes a traditional oxford basketweave but with low twist yarns that make for a more breathable shirting. These low twist yarns perfectly counterbalance the blazing process which adds a Nano-Tex® treatment to the fiber. The result is an improved Blazed Cotton, a fabric that breathes and absorbs well enough to be extremely comfortable yet is hydrophobic enough that sweat almost never shows through the fabric.
