Story

A new track jacket offering high winter performance insulation. Soft and dry against the skin, incredibly breathable throughout, with just enough protection from the elements to take away all your excuses for not getting outside and putting in the miles all winter.

Alphacharge sandwiches Polartec’s super-breathable Alpha insulation between a new, super lightweight, 130gsm, four way stretch exterior fabric from Schoeller Textil in Switzerland and our quick drying and thermo-buffering, 150gsm Runweight Merino against the skin. Similar to our lush and breathable Alphacore but with far lighter 60gsm Alpha insulation resulting in lean insulation optimized for cool weather activity.

We sewed this up into a high winter performance track jacket with a two-way zip front and two full length two-way side zips providing full coverage and dialed in adjustability for well calibrated warmth. Two discrete, zippered front pockets provide warmth for your hands and an extended neck provides additional protection up top.

Fabric

Alphacharge features three highly breathable fabrics matched together for optimized winter performance. Ultra lightweight four way stretch fabric from Schoeller Textil in Switzerland on the outer face provides some protection from the elements and the self cleaning Nanosphere treatment adds in some dirt and grime resistance.

Polartec’s Alpha insulation is an insulation specifically developed for the US military’s special forces to breathe freely, dry quickly and keep working, even in wet conditions. At 60gsm this results in lean, high performance insulation optimized for cool weather activity.

The inner face of the Alphacharge is our Runweight Merino Jersey, a blend of 17.5 micron merino and polyester. This combines the lushness and soft comfort of merino along with the performance and dry comfort of thermobuffering polyester. It’s engineered innovation integrated with nature’s finest performance fabric.
