Story

Soft Core warmth meets Air Forged clean in this essential cool weather vest. Three layers of fabric carefully engineered for a dry and wide-ranging warmth. Merino soft inside, Air Forged strong outside with Primaloft 120 insulation sandwiched in between.

For this vest we went for a clean, sharp look. Large front flap pockets are insulated and lined with merino to keep your hands warm, and the angled rear pocket has a magnetic closure for easy access. A high collar keeps out the cold and a smooth metal Excella zip finishes it off.

Fabric

The latest take on Outlier Soft Core Technology delivers an optimally insulated balance of warmth, breathability and cleanliness. It’s a three layer system designed to avoid overheating and sweat, indoor or out.

The innermost layer is nature’s finest performance fabric - merino. This 18.9 micron, 200 gram merino knit is soft to the touch and manages odor, moisture and a wide temperature range wonderfully. The exterior is our own breathable Air Forged Oxford Cloth. It’s an air texturized nylon topped off with a Nano-Tex® treatment to give it that extra level of protection against moisture and grit. The result is a cotton-soft and nylon-strong fabric that looks clean and stays clean.

Sandwiched between these two fabrics is 120 gram PrimaLoft Infinity insulation, whose low denier continuous filament fibers are engineered to be migration resistant and won't penetrate other fabrics. Perfect for a breathable and versatile warmth.
