Story

The Linenblade Pivot is a versatile shirt that can be enjoyed on late summer nights and early fall mornings alike.

Woven in Italy, this 180gsm cotton and linen blend was originally intended to be a suiting fabric and repurposed by us as a heavyweight shirting. The crisp, dry coolness of linen is complemented by the structure and simple upkeep of cotton to create a shirting that’s sturdy, soft and easy to maintain while breaking in beautifully with each wash and wear.

Sewn up into our pivot sleeve pattern and buttoned down with our custom Italian Mombasa poly buttons. The Linenblade Pivot is a heavier, versatile shirt that lets you enjoy the comfort of linen all year long and hopefully for years to come.

Fabric

Our Linenblade Cloth is our heavyweight take on linen and cotton. Originally a suiting fabric, we found that this 70% cotton, 30% linen blend also works wonderfully as a shirting. Woven in Italy, this broken herringbone weave combines the performance and comfort of linen with the structure and easy upkeep of cotton, Linenblade is easy to maintain and breaks in beautifully with time.

Linen is the strongest of the plant fibers and is generally considered to be one of the oldest used for textiles. With its low static and pilling it easily weaves into an open structure that lets air flow through the fabric. It's slightly hydrophilic, meaning that it absorbs moisture quickly but keeps a drier touch from its natural structure. Woven with cotton to keep the wear like linen but the upkeep like cotton, its 180gsm weight means it works well as a versatile shirting that delivers the comfort of linen all year round.
