Story

A ruggedly cozy standalone hood. Five fabrics united to keep your head, neck and face warm and comfortable through the winter.

Two OG Cloth side panels sewn to a windproof and water resistant Supermarine center strip give your head some winter-weather protection. A Doublefine Merino neckpiece does the job of a warm scarf, and can be cinched to snugly cover your face when the wind gets fierce. Being nature’s finest performance fabric, it is of course beautifully soft and naturally thermoregulating to create a comfortable climate.

Lined with our Ultrafine Merino jersey and insulated with Primaloft Infinity, Hood is a Soft Core headpiece that is ruggedly cozy with winter-ready warmth. Wool draw cords with quick action sliding bridge adjusters for fast and secure cinching.

A warm upgrade to any jacket, but made to pair perfectly with our Supermarine Soft Core Bomber for even more rugged coziness. Highly limited availability.

Fabric

Outlier Soft Core Technology is a three layer system designed to produce optimal balanced insulation. The inner layer is a merino knit (superfine 18.9 micron, 200 gram) for a beautiful soft feel and merino's incredible moisture and odor management properties. The mid layer is a 120 gram Primaloft Infinity insulation. The outer layer can vary but in this particular case, we used a yarn dyed Supermarine® Cotton from Switzerland. It's quiet, highly water and wind repellant and incredibly breathable. The side panels are OG Cloth, our core fabric; breathable and with four-way stretch, we also found it was much easier to hear through. Doublefine Merino around your neck keeps you warm without overheating.
